                <title><![CDATA[The true reasons behind the LHC site defacement]]></title>

                <![CDATA[Many news <a href="http://www.itpro.co.uk/606150/cerns-lhc-network-hit-by-greek-hackers">sites</a> have misinterpreted the message of the defacement of CERN's LHC website left by Greek crackers.<br/>
<br/>
As a result the <a href="http://www.in.gr/news/article.asp?lngEntityID=937462&lngDtrID=252">Greek media</a>, which have never seen the real message, translated the misinterpreted text leading to public misinformation.<br/>
<br/>
Thankfully, a friend of mine, George Chlapoutakis (also known as <a href="http://darksyn.secbible.org/">DarkSYN</a>)<br/>
got his hands on a genuine screenshot of the defacement containing the full message in the Greek language and proceeded to write an accurate translation.<br/>
<br/>
The purpose of GST (or Greek Security Team's) intrusion was neither to disrupt the experiment, nor to humiliate the CERN admins.<br/>
Their statement was against their adversaries in the Greek underground scene and the only reason they chose this site was due to it's extraordinary traffic.<br/>

                <title><![CDATA[APT repository for vget]]></title>

                <![CDATA[Ubuntu/Debian users can now stay up-to-date with vget's new versions via my <a href="https://launchpad.net/~zapotek/+archive">PPA</a> on Launchpad.<br/>
Add the following lines:<br/>

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/zapotek/ubuntu hardy main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/zapotek/ubuntu hardy main
</pre><br/>
in your "/etc/apt/sources.list" file and:<br/>
<pre>
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vget
</pre><br/>
<br/>
Et voila...you now have vget's latest version installed. :)<br/>
<br/>

                <title><![CDATA[vget now in Launchpad]]></title>

                <![CDATA[vget has been added in <a href="https://launchpad.net/vget">Launchpad</a>.<br/>
New releases will be added there as well along with a Bazaar mirror of Segfault's SVN repository of vget.<br/>
<br/>
Launchpad also enables users of vget to ask questions and file bug reports as well as interact with the code via the Bazaar repository.<br/>
<br/>
Furthermore, Deb packages will be added which can be obtained from my <br/>
"<a href="https://launchpad.net/~zapotek/+archive">Personal Package Archive</a>" using APT.<br/>
<br/>
Everything is not yet in order as I'm currently organizing stuff but it'll all be ready soon.<br/>

Should anyone try to outsmart me he will be logged and his IP address will be published on your right, in the "Stupid people" 's list.<br/>
If the list is not visible we either truncated the logs or no one tried to hack this website yet, however the latter is very unlikely.<br/>

Although damage on Segfault <b><i>cannot</i></b> be inflicted, it's fun to watch people try.<br/>

Amazingly enough most of the traffic was international, even though the site was in Greek so the new SegFault.Gr is in English.<br/>
